Your Questions, Answered
Your concerns and queries matter to us.
Below, We’ve tried to address some thoughts you might have, aiming to provide full clarity.
What exactly is Surrogacy?
Surrogacy is a process in which a woman, known as the surrogate or gestational carrier, carries and gives birth to a child on behalf of another individual or couple, known as the intended parents. Surrogacy can be an option for individuals or couples who are unable to carry a pregnancy themselves due to medical conditions, infertility, or other circumstances. It involves the use of assisted reproductive technologies, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), where the intended parents' embryo or sperm and egg are fertilized in a laboratory and then transferred to the surrogate's uterus.
I’ve had my tubes tied. Can I still be a surrogate?
Yes, of course.
Having your tubes tied does not affect you to becoming a Surrogate.
Can I choose who I match with?
Yes, absolutely.
What happens if the first embryo fails?
Typically, clients are encouraged to try again. Usually, intended parents agree to three transfer attempts with a Surrogate.
Will I need to travel during the journey?
Travel will be required during different stages of the journey. You must attend appointments at your Intended parent's IVF Clinic, such as medical screening and transfer.
Will there be contact with the intended parents during the surrogacy journey?
We encourage all parties involved to communicate with each other during the process. However, it is not a requirement. Your case manager will form a group chat for you and the Intended parents.
I’ve submitted my application. What’s next?
One of our Surrogate Intake specialists will review your application. If you have passed our basic requirements and pre-screening, you will be contacted to schedule your Consultation. This call will help you gain insight into your pregnancy history, medical history, and background.
How much do surrogates make?
Compensation for surrogates will vary but can range between $55,000-$85,000 based one experience and additional benefits.
